Summary: Alene and Bernard make up for lost time.
“Hey Alene, where are the kids?” Bernard walked in the bedroom, undoing the collar of his robes. He was happy to be home, after his crazy day. He didn’t have to go any more emergency meetings either, which was another plus. Alene’s day at the hospital ended early as well, an amazing coincidence. He looked over as she disappeared in their closet.
“Adam is staying the night at Izzy’s, Bello is going to stay the night at Cassie’s place, Angel is with her assistants at the lab, Chris is hanging out with Albert and his friends, Enzi is staying the night at Bobby’s place, Kia is with Steph, and Michelle is at a sleepover with Beth.” Alene called out before walking deeper in the closet.
Bernard grinned at the way Alene named off everything perfectly. “Did we give Antonio and the others the night off too?”
“Yep,”
“Wow, so for the first time in years we have the house to ourselves.” Bernard sat on the bed and took out the tie in his hair. “That’s amazing. Hey Alene, want to spend some much needed time together.”
“I was thinking the same thing.” Alene walked out the closet in a short white, nightgown. She smiled at the way Bernard’s eyes trailed over the lace along the hem of the skirt and neckline. “I went shopping today. Like it?”
“Oh I like it,” Bernard licked his lips as he walked over to Alene. He wrapped his arms around Alene’s waist and pulled her close. “I really like it.”
“I’m glad you do. Let’s make up for lost time, dear.” Alene smiled as she reached in her nightgown and pulled out a blindfold.
“Yes, we have a lot to make up on.” Bernard smiled. He picked up Alene and carried her to the bed.
He made a note to finish work early more often.
