Summary: Adam's sisters and best friend joins him for lunch. During lunch Adam teases Christophe, but Christophe gets him back with an unexpected guest.
While they waited for Angelique and the others Christophe revealed more information Elizabeth told him about Lee and Adam. Adam groaned irritably, "No one was supposed to know. How the hell did she know?" He noticed a familiar blue Porsche making a sharp turn in the parking lot. Christophe looked on with Adam watching the car slide in the parking space narrowly missing a pole. He chuckled knowing his sister was behind the wheel. He turned to Adam who fumed silently against the car.
Christophe smiled, "I told you Lee told her. He couldn't help it so she told me she couldn't help it."
Adam growled, "Damn it I didn't want anyone to know about that." Before he could play with his pendant on he felt arms around his neck, "Know about what Adam."
Adam groaned, "My night with Lee. I did some things that wasn't suppose to leave the bedroom."
Christophe smiled, "Our baby brother was a bit wild here Angelique."
Angelique smiled hugging Adam, "I'm so proud of you. You're handling your adult cycle very well."
Adam groaned turning around to hug Angelique back. He buried his face in her shoulder. "I don't like losing control like that Angel. It scared me."
"Don't worry it surprises all of us the first time around. When I went through my first cycle I nearly clawed this guy's back up." Angelique said.
"I broke the bed I was in." Christophe said.
Adam raised his head looking in his older sister's purple eyes, "That was you Angel you're always wild everyone knows that. Chris has a wild side he doesn't show anyone. I wasn't used to something like that. I guess it just surprised me is all."
"What is this I hear about Adam?"
Adam turned around looking at a pair of feet. He looked down at his twin Kia who was on her hands. He smiled, "Hi Kia,"
Kia smiled moving to her feet her braid landing on her shoulder as she straighten out. She played with her braid, "What did Adam do?"
"Something great with this dog demon Lee," Angelique said adjusting her white button up shirt.
"I heard about that. Good job Adam when I had my first cycle I discovered how flexible I can be." Kia said pulling her black pants up.
"I’m happy for you guys really, but I felt a bit weird." Adam said.
Someone chuckled behind him, "Lee said it wasn't that bad. He rather enjoyed it."
Adam frowned in annoyance. "Let me guess you found out about it too Issac."
Issac smiled picking a strand of red hair off his shirt, "Of course I did. Lee visits the museum I work in, in Arcadia. He told me everything and I'm quite proud of you Adam. During my cycle I don't become so aggressive, but I leave my fair share of scratches and bites behind."
Adam sighed reaching in his pocket pulling out a blue hair tie. He tied his hair in a low ponytail turning to Issac, "I know it's something important in a demon's life, but it doesn't change the fact that it surprised the hell out of me. I don't mind now I just didn't know he would tell everyone. I hope it didn't to get to our mom. She can't resist news like this."
Angelique giggled, "That's true mom would probably throw a party for it."
"Not to mention she would tell dad." Christophe said.
"Dad would probably tell everyone during one of his meetings. He'll bring you out in front of the stage and tell everyone how proud he is of you." Kia said going back to walking on her hands. Adam laughed, "Yeah he would,"
"Kia I wouldn't walk on the ground on my hands. With everything that lands on it daily it's a petri dish when you think about it." Angelique said.
Kia flipped back to her legs brushing her hands on her pants, "Only you would think of something like that Angel. I can't help it. I love walking on my hands it's fun." She flipped back to her hands walking towards the door. Angelique shook her head laughing softly, "Only you walk on your hands everywhere Kia."
Adam smiled looking at his sisters. Angelique adjusted a button on her shirt while talking to Christophe. Kia flipped back to her feet putting her braid into a bun before going back to her hands. It's been awhile since he saw his sisters and he couldn't wait to catch up. He wrapped an arm around Angelique's waist, "I've missed you two so much. How have you been?"
Angelique smiled hugging Adam back, "I've been good I miss you too."
Kia flipped back to her feet dusting off her hands before placing them around Adam's waist. "I miss you too. I've been good a bit busy, but good."
"Hey where was my warm greeting?" Christophe asked.
Issac nodded in agreement, "Yeah I want my greeting and my kiss too."
Adam sighed turning around to Issac and Christophe. He turned to Christophe, "They get a warm welcome because they don't annoy me or send annoying priestesses to destroy my office."
Christophe rolled his eyes, "You just can't let it go can you?"
Adam shook his head, "Nope, not until you apologize."
"Fine, if it will stop your complaints then I'm sorry." Christophe said.
Adam shook his head, "Not good enough."
Christophe sighed tapping his finger against his chin, "Ok I'm sorry and I'll buy you the best wine they have."
"Even vintage from 1910." Adam said.
Christophe nodded, "Yes including vintage from 1910."
Adam smiled wrapping his arms around Christophe's waist, "Chris I haven't seen you in so long! How have you been?"
Christophe laughed hugging Adam back, "I'm fine how are you?"
"Never better," Adam said he turned to Issac, "Hi Izzy, how are you?"
"I'm fine I'll be better once I get my-umpf." Issac faltered not expecting Adam to press his lips against his own so quickly. However, Issac wasn't complaining he happily kissed Adam's back. Angelique giggled, "I see those two are up to their old antics."
"It's great to see it. I've haven't seen a Coven greeting in awhile." Kia said smiling.
It wasn't uncommon for citizens in Coven to greet each other in such an intimate way. Each class has their own style of greeting from fire demons to water demons. The level of the greeting depends on the relationship between the two demons. For demons meeting each for the first time, it could be a small peck on the cheek or on the hand. For demons that are acquaintances it can be a hug with a light kiss or not. It depends on the demon. For demons that have been friends for a long time it can be a kiss, a hug, stroking of the hair, or any other thing they want to do. In Adam and Issac’s case they’ve known each other since childhood so a kiss between them is normal.
Adam broke the kiss with a smirk, “Happy, Issac?”
Issac smiled, “Yep, now tell me how’s work?”
“The same thing documents piled on my desk as far as the eye can see. Now I’m getting more ancient documents and those things are hard to translate. Well not hard it just takes me awhile to find the right dictionary and translate it in the right dialect. Other than that I haven’t been too busy how about you?” Adam asked.
Issac sighed, “I have so many items to restore it’s not even funny. We always get an influx of items during the summit. During that time, many of my employees become lazy or find some way to get out of their duties. I usually get them back with a threat of a pay cut though.”
Angelique laughed, “It sounds like the lab nowadays. Everyone is asking me questions about the memory recovery projects we’re working on at the moment. We’ve made progress, but not enough for me to go around telling people about it.”
Kia flipped back to her hands, “I’m training most of the time. When I’m not training I’m doing a performance with Naota for new clients who want to open up a tour of Bonnenuit in their town.”
Christophe smirked. “Are you sure you’re only doing a performance with him Kia?”
Kia flipped back to her feet playing with her braid, “We don’t do anything more than we do on stage.”
“So it only looks like you two are about to melt each other’s clothes off ok.” Angelique said stifling a giggle.
Kia flushed the color showing up lightly on her brown skin. She slipped her fingers through the loose hair at the end of her braid shaking her head, “We don’t melt each other’s clothes off. Naota can’t do it anyway he’s an ice demon.”
“It doesn’t stop you guys in your show. It always looks like Naota is going to use his ice to finish trimming your outfit.” Adam said chuckling at the way Kia’s mouth turned in a small smile. She quickly wiped her face shaking her head again, “It doesn’t look like that all the time. We do more things in our show than flirt.”
“I love your antics with Naota. It makes the show so entertaining.” Issac said.
Kia smiled, “Thank you Izzy I’m glad you think so.”
“Besides watching you two is cute.” Issac said smiling, everyone nodded in agreement.
Kia laughed rubbing the back of her neck, “Guys, please, enough about me. Let’s go back to talking about Adam.” She wrapped her arms around Adam neck. Adam laughed, “Oh no we’ve talked about me enough Kia. It’s time to talk about you.”
Kia shook her head jumping on Adam’s back, “Nope it’s time to talk about you.”
Adam grabbed her legs keeping her steady, “No I think it’s time we talked about you and your budding relationship with Naota.”
Christophe smiled opening the door to the restaurant as Kia jumped off Adam’s back. “How about we talk about Adam and his list of playmates?”
“How about we talk about you and Harold?” Adam said.
Angelique laughed, “Not Harold.”
“I can’t believe you actually went through with that. That’s funny.” Issac said.
Christophe glared at Adam wiping his face clean before turning to the host. Kia giggled, “Ooo Adam I think you hit a nerve.”
Adam laughed as Christophe turned to him, “He has, but I have an ace up my sleeve.”
“What is it?” Issac said on their way to the booth.
Christophe smirked evilly, “Don’t worry you’ll see.”
Adam swallowed whenever Christophe smirked he had a plan in mind. Something that would either a) embarrass him or b) make him craft a plan for revenge. He laughed nervously, “Chris I was only playing.”
Christophe sat down with the same evil smirk on his face, “Oh don’t worry I’ll be playing in a minute as well.”
Adam scratched his head in curiosity before shrugging. He turned to Angelique, “So tell me how is Anthony?”
Angelique smiled behind her glass, “He’s fine and for your information I’ve done nothing with him.”
“Not yet anyway.” Adam mumbled behind his glass.
Angelique poked Adam in the side watching in satisfaction as his glass toppled a bit in his hand. She smiled, “A man like Anthony takes time to seduce. I can’t just go for him with the way I go for others. I have to wait and plan then make my move.”
“Which translate to she’s going to jump his bones during the dinner tonight.” Kia joked as Adam and Issac laughed.
“Ha, ha I’m not going to do that. I do have a way I do things you know.” Angelique huffed taking a sip of water.
“Of course you do, that’s why we question when it actually works.” Adam said.
Kia giggled as Angelique poked Adam’s side again. Adam yelped knocking his glass over. He picked it up before any more water could get on his pants and shirt. He growled turning to
Angelique angrily. “Angel.”
Angelique giggled, “Yes Adam.”
Adam smirked placing his claw on the tip of her glass, “It would be a shame if that pretty outfit got water on it, wouldn’t it?”
Angelique regarded Adam with a level look. “Don’t do it Adam. I got this shirt from my favorite designer don’t you dare.”
Adam’s smirked turned sinister as he started tipping her glass. “If I do…”
Angelique held up two fingers flames dancing along her blue claws. “You’ll say goodbye to your favorite shirt.”
“I want to see you try.” Adam challenged as Angelique stood up. “You won’t have to see in a minute.”
Kia giggled. “Oh come on guys let’s not do this now. It’s lunch time.”
“Yes, I agree with Kia this is so foolish, but entertaining.” Issac said sipping his water.
Christophe laughed taking a sip of his own water. “Very.”
Adam and Angelique glared at each other. Adam continued moving her glass slowly as the fire on Angelique’s fingers increased. Before Adam could do anything, he felt a finger trail down his back. He jumped turning to Issac. “Damn it Issac, what the hell?”
“For once I didn’t do it. I’m kind of offended that you accuse me of such a thing while we’re having lunch for the first time in awhile.” Issac said frowning lightly.
“Fine I’m sorry, but if you didn’t do it then who did?” Adam asked.
“I did it,”
Adam turned around poised to say something until he looked at the culprit. His words died on his tongue as the person smiled, “Hi Adam, how are you?”
Adam swallowed his suddenly dry throat. “L-Lee, what are you doing here? I thought you were in the dog demon capital with your family.”
“I was, but I decided to come down here to get some lunch. I looked around for some place to go when I got a call from Christophe. He told me that you guys were having lunch here and I wanted to join. I wouldn’t turn down this invitation for the world. How are you?” Lee asked his black dog tail wagging lazily.
Adam swallowed again trying to find his voice. He looked down trying his hardest not to look in Lee’s eyes. He always dragged people in with his deep blue eyes. Adam always became so flustered when Lee was around. He didn’t know why since he knew Lee and the fire demon’s heat cycle was months away. He felt it was probably payback for years of flirting.
Adam’s friends and family found it funny that he could become easily flustered around some demons. He tried to stop it, but the harder he tried the more flustered he became. Now he tried his hardest to push it to the back of his mind, instead of trying to stop it.
Lee smiled walking closer to Adam, “Aren’t you going to greet me?” He asked placing a hand on his cheek. Adam flushed lightly as he nodded, “Sure, hi Lee.” He shyly leaned forward pressing his lips lightly against Lee’s. He started to pull away when Lee pulled him forward deepening the kiss. Adam let out a surprised groan before kissing him back.
Issac looked at Christophe who held a triumphant smirk on his face. He chuckled. “I see what you mean Chris.”
Christophe smiled, “Told you I would be playing soon.”
Kia giggled, “Aww this is cute, but that was mean Christophe.”
“Yeah that was mean. If it was me I would have invited him much earlier as a little surprise for Adam.” Angelique said with an evil smirk.
Issac laughed, “Lunch just became very interesting.”
“Oh things have just started Izzy.” Christophe said placing his glass down.

Adam’s friends and family found it funny that he could become easily flustered around some demons. He tried to stop it, but the harder he tried the more flustered he became. Now he tried his hardest to push it to the back of his mind, instead of trying to stop it.
Lee smiled walking closer to Adam, “Aren’t you going to greet me?” He asked placing a hand on his cheek. Adam flushed lightly as he nodded, “Sure, hi Lee.” He shyly leaned forward pressing his lips lightly against Lee’s. He started to pull away when Lee pulled him forward deepening the kiss. Adam let out a surprised groan before kissing him back.
Issac looked at Christophe who held a triumphant smirk on his face. He chuckled. “I see what you mean Chris.”
Christophe smiled, “Told you I would be playing soon.”
Kia giggled, “Aww this is cute, but that was mean Christophe.”
“Yeah that was mean. If it was me I would have invited him much earlier as a little surprise for Adam.” Angelique said with an evil smirk.
Issac laughed, “Lunch just became very interesting.”
“Oh things have just started Izzy.” Christophe said placing his glass down.
